Saudi Arabia to UAE Shipping — Riyadh & Dammam to Dubai

Dependable KSA–UAE freight with customs handled end to end.

The Saudi–UAE corridor is one of the busiest trade routes in the region, and TQM International runs it every day. We move full and part loads from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the Emirates.

With experienced cross-border teams and complete customs clearance, your cargo moves between the Kingdom and the UAE quickly, compliantly and with full tracking.

Trade between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates moves mainly on trucks, and this page covers that single lane in detail. Departures run from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern Emirates, crossing at Al Batha / Al Ghuwaifat. From Dammam the run is roughly 700 km; from Riyadh about 1,100 km.

Driving time from Riyadh to the border is six to seven hours, and about five hours from the border to Dubai. Clearance at Al Batha can take anything from a couple of hours to a full day depending on documentation, commodity and traffic. Realistic door-to-door transit is therefore two to three days from Riyadh and one to two days from Dammam — we quote those figures rather than best-case driving time.

Typical cargo on this lane includes FMCG and retail stock, electronics, building materials, machinery and re-exports moving through Jebel Ali. We handle full truck loads for single shippers and groupage for smaller consignments, plus reefer trailers for Saudi dairy, poultry and juice exports heading into the Emirates.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does KSA to UAE transport take?

Transit typically ranges from 1–3 days depending on origin city, border clearance and destination.

Do you clear customs at the border?

Yes — we manage all export and import documentation and customs clearance on both sides.

Can you deliver anywhere in the UAE?

Yes, we deliver door-to-door to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the Emirates.

How long does Riyadh to Dubai take by truck?

Two to three days door to door for a full truck load with complete paperwork: six to seven hours Riyadh to the border, clearance at Al Batha, then about five hours to Dubai. From Dammam it is one to two days. Groupage adds a consolidation day at each end.

What paperwork does a Saudi to UAE shipment need?

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, the Saudi export declaration and the UAE import declaration lodged by your consignee or their broker. Regulated goods need their own certificates — health and halal for food, SFDA approvals for pharmaceuticals, a safety data sheet for chemicals.

Is duty payable on goods going from Saudi Arabia to the UAE?

Goods of GCC origin with a valid certificate of origin move duty-free. Goods originally imported from outside the GCC will already have paid duty at their first GCC entry point. We confirm the position for your specific commodity before quoting.

Can you carry chilled and frozen goods to Dubai?

Yes. Reefer trailers run this lane regularly with Saudi dairy, poultry and juice exports, monitored continuously and fuelled for the border wait. Temperature logs are provided with the proof of delivery.

Do you offer groupage, or only full trucks?

Both. Full truck load suits large or sensitive consignments and gives you the whole vehicle. Groupage consolidates several shippers into one truck and is far cheaper for a few pallets, with a consolidation day at each end.

Who handles customs on the UAE side?

We coordinate with licensed brokers at the crossing and work with your consignee's import declaration, so there is no gap between clearance and delivery. You deal with one contact for the whole journey.
