Riyadh–Dammam is the Kingdom's fastest FTL lane, with same-day delivery to the port, Jubail and Al Khobar.
The Eastern Province is home to King Abdulaziz Port, Jubail Industrial City and much of Saudi Arabia's petrochemical and manufacturing base. Full truck load (FTL) trucking between Riyadh and Dammam connects the capital's warehouses with these import and export gateways, and it is one of the fastest lanes in the country.
Route and distance
The 400 km run follows Highway 40 east through Al Kharj junction, Ruma and Buqayq to Dammam, with direct access to Al Khobar, Dhahran and Jubail. The road is a well-maintained dual carriageway and is suitable for all trailer types including heavy and oversized loads with permits.
Transit time
Driving time is 5 to 6 hours. Trucks loaded in Riyadh in the morning typically deliver in Dammam the same afternoon, and a return load can be collected the following morning. This makes the lane ideal for daily replenishment, port container drayage and just-in-time deliveries to industrial customers.
Common cargo on this lane
- Import containers and de-stuffed cargo from King Abdulaziz Port to Riyadh distribution centres.
- Chemicals, polymers and industrial materials from Jubail to the central region.
- FMCG, retail and e-commerce stock moving east to Al Khobar and Dammam stores.
- Project and construction materials for Eastern Province developments.
Booking tips
Provide gate-pass and appointment details for port or industrial-city deliveries in advance, as security clearance can add time. For hazardous materials, share the MSDS at booking so the correct vehicle and driver certification are assigned.
TQM International operates dry, flatbed and refrigerated FTL on the Riyadh–Dammam lane daily, with port-experienced drivers and real-time tracking on every trip.
