The 400 km run follows Highway 40 east through Al Kharj junction, Ruma and Buqayq to Dammam, with direct access to Al Khobar, Dhahran and Jubail. The road is a well-maintained dual carriageway and is suitable for all trailer types including heavy and oversized loads with permits.
Transit time
Driving time is 5 to 6 hours. Trucks loaded in Riyadh in the morning typically deliver in Dammam the same afternoon, and a return load can be collected the following morning.
